(-)-Clausenamide is an active alkaloid isolated from the leaves of Clausena lansium. It improves cognitive function in both normal physiological and pathological conditions by inhibiting β-amyloid (Aβ) toxicity and blocking neurofibrillary tangle formation through the inhibition of tau protein phosphorylation. It exhibits significant neuroprotective activity against Aβ 25-35 and is used for researching Alzheimer’s disease (AD).
