Dapoxetine HCl – (129938-20-1)

Dapoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) used for the treatment of premature ejaculation (PE) in men aged 18 to 64.

It works by inhibiting the serotonin transporter, increasing serotonin’s action at the postsynaptic cleft, and promoting ejaculatory delay. Unlike other SSRIs, dapoxetine is rapidly absorbed and eliminated, making it suitable for on-demand use.

Originally developed as an antidepressant by Eli Lilly, it was later repurposed for PE and sold to Johnson & Johnson.
