Guanfacine HCl – (29110-48-3)

Guanfacine is molecule used for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and high blood pressure. It is an alpha-2A adrenergic receptor agonist, which reduces sympathetic nervous system activity, leading to decreased blood pressure and improved focus and impulse control in ADHD.

It is metabolized by CYP3A4 and has a half-life of 17 hours. Guanfacine is considered non-addictive and is often used as an adjunct to stimulant medications for ADHD.
