Follistatin 344

Follistatin-344 is a synthetic version of the naturally occurring Follistatin protein, which is encoded by the FST gene in humans.

It is an autocrine glycoprotein expressed in nearly all tissues of higher animals. Its primary function is to bind and neutralize members of the TGF-β superfamily, particularly activin, a paracrine hormone. Follistatin-344 is known for its role in inhibiting myostatin, a protein that limits muscle growth, leading to increased muscle mass in animal studies.
