RGPU-95 – (213178-69-9)

RGPU-95, also known as p-chlorophenylpiracetam, is a potent derivative of phenylpiracetam, developed by Russian researchers as a potential antidepressant and anxiolytic agent. It belongs to the racetam family of drugs and is structurally similar to phenylpiracetam, with the addition of a chlorine atom to the phenyl group. This modification results in RGPU-95 being approximately five to ten times more potent than its parent compound in animal studies.

In terms of its mechanism of action, RGPU-95 is thought to increase acetylcholine release in the hippocampus, which may contribute to its nootropic effects. Additionally, it acts as a dopamine and noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor, similar to phenylpiracetam, which could explain its stimulant properties.
